Grand Tour
Stuttgart-Salzburg
Pencil drawing 230x32 cm
Leporello, ed. 6+1, 2018
For the first time I cycle from my home in Stuttgart to my family in Salzburg. The reasons are, on the one hand, the desire for a break, but above all the need for a slow and reflective approach to my family and the escape from a personally difficult situation in Stuttgart.
From the tracked data of the route and altitude, as well as from the notes taken during the six-day tour, a leporello is created. The texts describe my engagement with personal past and unresolved presence, with connectedness and demarcation in relationships. But also observations on the way as well as my annoyance about shitty bike paths or the envy policy of the CSU in Bavaria. Passages that appear too private for me to publish are blacked out.
